Hi my name is Dritzz! I am a four year old pup that would love a family that can give me some space to stretch out in and be home with me more often! In my old house I had a fenced in yard and I loved that soooo much! I just rejoined the rescue after my previous family had some lifestyle changes. They loved me a lot but knew they weren't giving me the right home.
I'm just getting settled in my foster home and she will update with more info. I like going for walks but do get some leash aggression that I'm working on. I don't show these behaviors when I'm not on the leash and I do like playing with dogs. Right now my foster thinks I would do best in a home with a submissive dog as I like being by my people a lot and this is making my current foster dog pretty jealous.
I would like some time to adjust to my new home so taking it slow with new friends would be best! I know some basic commands but on a leash I am a puller if I'm not on a harness so someone able to handle my strength would be best. I am not crate trained but I don't need to be as I am not destructive when left to my own devices. I am fully potty trained so there is nothing to worry about there either! I love people so much but can tend to jump up to give them hugs and kisses. Therefore a home without or kids or with kids that understand dog might be best as I don't know my own strength and don't understand when to stop giving kisses I'm not overly energetic and hyper, but do love giving kisses!
I REALLY love my people and love to sit near you on the couch or in bed and put my head on your lap. I just like being near my people and showing them love with snuggles and kisses.
I have a pretty good prey drive and have been known to take off after a rabbit or bird. So if I'm outside I need to be in a fence or on a leash so I don't go on adventures.
I lived with a cat and don't have any issues with her other than she isn't very nice to me. I am scared of fireworks, but gun shots (trap shooting) doesn't bother me. I sure am a funny pup! I don't love car rides but if there is a canopy back there or if we just got done doing something interesting like a dog park I am better. I am allergic to chicken and turkey so would need other kinds of food.
An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal. Once we receive your application, a placement coordinator will be in contact with you as soon as possible.
