*I am available to meet and adopt at the PetSmart in St Louis Park* Please do not submit an online application. (Bonded with Ernie)
These darling, spunky, kitties are ready for their forever homes. The kittens must be adopted and kept together in pairs.
These siblings (along with two other siblings and momma, Peaches) were rescued outside a restaurant in St Paul by the very kind staff who heard the tiny meows. All seven of these kitties are now healthy and happy and thriving in their foster home. One of the staff who helped rescue this family has adopted two of the kittens. And now the rest of the family are ready for their forever homes.
Dottie, Ernie, Kit Keller, and Spaghetti are your typical kittens - they love to play, they love to sleep and they love to eat. They love to wrestle with each other, chase toys (real and imaginary) around the room. They chase each other from one end of the house to the other - up and over the couch, diving under chairs, leaping over shoes. They explore every nook and cranny they can find; the bathtub was a recent discovery. Spaghetti and Dottie stayed and explored; Kit Keller and Ernie came running out on high speed shaking water off thier paws. The play sessions are always followed by naps; any location will do for these tired kitties. Most of the time, they are in a pile together on the couch or in a sun spot on the floor. These 4 are very sweet and like pets (and some snuggling - when they don't have playing to do). Considering they spend the first 7 weeks of thier lives with no human interaction, these sweeties are coming along great. They trust humans and are learning how great laps can be. With more experience around people, they will continue to bond and learn. Their human(s) will need to have a little patience during the transition but in no time at all, these kiddos will feel totally at home. They live with other cats - including a grumpy old gal who likes to hiss and occasionally swat (to remind them that she is the boss). They respectfully give her space and move along. They have not met any dogs yet but with slow introductions, it should be fine with these kitties.
All 4 of these darlings have perfect litter box records, use scratching posts, and are good eaters. They will add maximum cuteness, fun and cuddling to your home.
We highly encourage adopting kittens in pairs for their emotional and behavioral well-being. It is an amazing experience to watch the lifelong bond that forms and that you get to be a part of. We are not trying to push more kittens out the door. If you are thinking of adopting a single kitten we want to prepare you for behaviors you will almost certainly see and have only the kittens’ best interest at heart, and your satisfaction as an adopter and pet parent. At Ruff Start Rescue part of our mission involves education and we would like to make sure you are making an informed decision and hopefully avoiding any issues that can come up. Here is a link to more information on Tarzan Syndrome (Single Kitten Syndrome) and another on the benefits of adopting kittens in pairs.
An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal.
