This is sweet little Teddy! When we first got her as a stray, she was so scared and hid every time we came in the room. After days of showing her humans aren’t scary, she wants all the attention she can get! She’ll greet you at the door to say hello, ask for pets & then curl right into your lap when you sit down. Teddy is also a big fan of her small toys that she can carry around in her mouth. She might be missing an eye but that doesn’t slow her down one bit!

When Teddy was brought into rescue, she was diagnoses with Feline Herpes Virus. This is a viral infection that causes upper respiratory infections and conjunctivitis in cats. This is in part why my eye had to be removed. At this time I am not showing any symptoms of this disease and am a happy healthy cat. Right now I am just taking an inexpensive powder supplement that is put on my food to help my immune system. At this time, no treatment further is necessary. Because of this, I should be the only cat in the home. You can read more below:

An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal.  Please check out our website, www.ruffstartrescue.org for more details and additional pictures on any of our animals! All Ruff Start dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, dewormed, and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm prevention (dogs) as well as heartworm tested (dogs).
