Hey everyone! My name is Gina. I came from Texas originally.
A little bit about me…I am a very shy girl that had a ruff start to life. I will need a home that has lots of patience and allow me the time I need to build trust and confidence. Once I do start to trust I will begin to open up and allow touch. I am a very sweet dog but scared. I am a gentle girl and will make a great companion. I am still a puppy and learning all the new things that puppies need to learn. Once I open up and show my true personality my puppy energy will probably shine through. I need a family that has the time and patience for a puppy. I promise will reward you with sloppy kisses and tail wags.
Here is a little bit from her Texas foster:
She’s doing quite a bit better in the house. She’s still super scared of some noises but will run to me or her crate for help. So she’s trusting me. I can pick her up and everything with no issues. She’s coming out of her crate on her own and whining to come sit with me in the living room. She’s showing interest in toys.
She’s very interested in my dogs. They aren’t as willing to let her around them but I just keep her on a leash outside with them. She’s not eager to play with them, more just curious and wants to follow my big one. She has progressed inside but regressed outside. Nothing happened so not sure what that’s about. If my dogs are outside she’s better.
She is a flight risk meaning she will run away if she gets scared. Now will she scale a fence? I don’t think so. She just wants to go back inside the house. All sounds outside scare her greatly. She doesn’t always walk on the leash now either. She will just stand there or sit and not budge. Really odd. She was walking fine when she first got here. Fortunately, she is very good with pee pads so if she is having a stubborn moment outside she will use the pee pads inside.
She’s got a personality in there she’s trying to let out, slowly but surely. Still some puppy in there. I let her walk around the house when my kids are outside and she likes to steal my socks and flip
Due to Gina's fearfulness she will require an above the ground fence and another friendly dog to show her the ropes.
*The breed of a shelter puppy is often times a guess based on what traits the dog presents when they are brought into the shelter. We cannot guarantee the breed or size they will be full grown.*
